FAQ
Questions and answers about how Custom Wallet Card Maker works, what it costs and how your photos are handled.
What does this app do?
It turns photos and illustrations on your iPhone into cards you can add to Apple Wallet, using designs like a ticket, a Polaroid or a film strip. Put your favorite character, your pet or a photo from a trip on a card and see it every time you open Wallet. You can also save and share your cards as images.
Does the card really go into Apple Wallet? What does it look like?
Yes. The card is added through Wallet's standard mechanism and sits in the same list as your other passes. When you open it, your design fills the face of the card. Small details such as corner radius and margins can vary slightly by device and iOS version.
Is it safe to use? Do I need to jailbreak my iPhone?
Yes, it is safe to use, and no jailbreak is needed. This is a regular app distributed on the App Store after Apple's review. Adding a card uses only standard iOS functionality (adding a pass to Wallet); no jailbreak, configuration profile or developer settings are involved. The app is made by an independent developer and is not developed, endorsed or sponsored by Apple.
Can I pay or ride transit with a card?
No. The cards are decorative keepsakes for your own use. The IC-card and credit-card designs are looks only; cards cannot be used for payment, transit, admission, identification, membership or anything similar, and must not be used to imitate a real card.
Is it free? What does Pro add?
Creating, editing and saving cards, and exporting them as images, are free with no limit on the number of cards. The free version keeps one card from this app in Apple Wallet at a time. Pro, a one-time purchase, removes that limit so you can add as many cards to Wallet as you like. There is no monthly or yearly fee; the price varies by country or region.
Will Pro still work after I switch to a new iPhone?
Yes. Pro is a one-time purchase tied to your Apple Account. On a new iPhone, sign in with the same Apple Account and use Restore Purchases under About in the app. Your cards are restored from your device backup; saving important cards as images is a good extra safeguard.
Can I edit or delete a card later?
Yes. Cards are saved in the app, and you can change colors, text and photo position as often as you like. After editing a card that is already in Wallet, tap Update Wallet card in the app and Wallet switches to the new design. To remove a card from Wallet, delete it in the Wallet app. Deleting a card inside the app leaves the Wallet copy in place.
Are my photos sent anywhere?
The app itself never sends your photos or cards anywhere. Editing and building the Wallet card happen entirely on your iPhone, there is no account or sign-in, and no advertising or analytics SDKs are included. Note that cards added to Wallet may sync to your other devices according to your iCloud settings, and the app's data may be included in iCloud backups.
Which devices are supported? Does it work on iPad or Android?
iPhone running iOS 27 or later, in a region and on a device where Apple Wallet is available. There is no iPad, Android or web version.
A card won't add, or something else is wrong
On the free version, Wallet holds one card from this app at a time. To add a different card, delete the current one in the Wallet app first, or buy Pro. If Pro does not show up after buying it, try Restore Purchases under About in the app. If that does not help, reach out through the contact form.
